The story of
how Rekindled Nurse was created.
How it started
Rekindled Nurse was started in Winter 2021, but the desire was dreamt much earlier. Rekindled Nurse was founded by Courtney Kindrew, a Nurse in practice for 5 years.
At the start of her career, life was good, nursing wasn’t “that bad” and she was excited to be a licensed professional. But, quicker than she thought, she began to be consumed with burnout, the feelings of doubt, loathing, work related anxiety, lack of confidence and fear that she made the wrong decision in becoming a nurse. While she thought she was managing these emotions in private, it undoubtedly started to creep into her marriage, friendships, relationships and her job. This was when she knew something needed to change.
She invested in a nurse mentorship program with experts who gave resources to get out of the pit and back into feeling like the truest her! She began to see the hard work translate into life and relationships & loved going to work - EVEN ON THE BAD DAYS!
“And friend, it changed my life”
— Courtney Kindrew, BSN, RN, Founder of Rekindled Nurse
Rekindled Nurse was born.
While she thought she was alone, she learned that many nurses feel these emotions. She knew in that moment that she had to do something to support her coworkers.
Her world changed when she found people who could help, even in areas that she didn’t even know she needed help in. So, that was her mission - to help others get access to the incredible resources out there just for nurses who understand exactly where they are at and to help them know how supported and cared for they are!
Alongside her coworkers, Emily Hilton, BSN, RN and Rachel Friedman BSN, RN, she planned a conference for their coworkers to accomplish just that.
“We wanted the day to be filled with encouragement, support, empowerment, resources and a sense of peace knowing that we were all in this together.”
The day was so special and the desire for more was so high that Rekindled Nurse was created.
Rekindled Nurse will put on multiple conference & events throughout the year. These events surround the nurses and the care of their hearts and minds so they can care even better for their patients.
